A conference to mark the end of the EU Health2CARE personalized healthcare project was held on March 31, 2016, in Lyon, closing two years of productive European cooperation and a number of initiatives targeting the Rhône-Alpes regional industrial base.
The conference provided an opportunity to present the outcomes of the project and share best practices in innovation policy and industrial development strategy with our European partners (view program).
The Health2CARE project, coordinated by the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes regional government, was set up to test new methods for improving regional innovation support policies. The project effectively facilitated cooperation across industries, laying the groundwork for the more efficient development of new personalized healthcare solutions. The approach was multi-disciplinary, as evidenced by the involvement of clusters i-Care, Lyonbiopôle, Minalogic, and Plastipolis.
In terms of specific outcomes, 20 projects were identified, and nine were selected to receive support.
The projects were identified and selected to receive support as follows :
- Two calls for expressions of interest managed by Lyonbiopôle and i-Care and a selection committee made up of European experts
- An innovation voucher system set up by Minalogic and Plastipolis allowing selected projects to receive services from outside consulting firms
In terms of public policy, meetings were held throughout the project with representatives of other regions across Europe. The Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Regional Council also held meetings to discuss future changes to its innovation support policies.
Minalogic would like to thank all our partners in the region and across Europe for their two years of productive cooperation !
