Challenges

The IO32 project targets the ARM processor market, with the backing of global semiconductor giant STMicroelectronics and its STM32 family of 32-bit Flash microcontrollers. IO32 will aim to substantially reduce the development time for these types of microcontrollers--unleashing major untapped potential for many high-tech SMBs. The project will let them penetrate new markets, better channel creativity, and become more competitive.

Objectives

The primary goals of the project are to: create easy-to-use software that facilitates the development of 32-bit microcontrollers; offer an intuitive graphical user interface with high-performance embedded instrumentation that lets developers rapidly collect, analyze, and display application data for an entire product lifecycle; and give developers a differentiated tool that lets them produce a working prototype in 24 months and a finished product in 36 months.
