Grenoble-based startup Wizbii was awarded the French Tech Pass on October 8, 2015. The online career network for college students and recent college graduates is the first startup to earn the distinction, just weeks after announcing its expansion into four European countries.
The French Tech Pass, part of the national French Tech program, gives high-growth tech companies access to accelerated financing. Grenoble earned a slot in the French Tech program in November 2014 thanks to its winning Digital Grenoble bid, and Minalogic has been tasked with administering the Pass on behalf of Digital Grenoble. With the French Tech Pass, Wizbii will benefit from VIP access to financing solutions from Bpifrance, Ubifrance, Coface, and or INPI:
- An accelerated, simplified, priority procedure with a single application and priority access to services
- Enhanced personalized support through designated points of contact at each financing partner
- Promotion of French Tech Pass holders in financing partners’ communications
Financing through introductions to investors and fundraising support
Cindy Ung, Vice President for Product and Partnership Development, Bpifrance and Jean-Romain Micol, who coordinates the French Tech cities for the French government, responded unanimously to the announcement. “Our financing partners are thrilled to start providing French Tech Pass services to a high-growth startup like Wizbii and plan to deliver premium services that we hope will have a significant impact on the company’s growth, both in France and internationally. Welcome to the French Tech Pass community, a mark of excellence!”
The French Tech Pass is valid for one year and will be implemented in all of France’s French Tech cities with the goal of providing VIP support to between 100 and 300 companies.
