The Board of Directors of Minalogic, the digital technology cluster for France’s Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, announces the appointment of Karen Amram-Prévot as CEO. With a strong background in innovation and research strategies, she will be responsible for strengthening the cluster’s role in major industrial and technological transitions at regional, national, and European levels. She will take over from Erasmia Dupenloup, who has led the cluster since 2022 and will retire at the end of December 2025.
A career at the crossroads of technological research and industrial innovation
Before joining Minalogic, Karen Amram-Prévot headed the Department for Large-scale Research Infrastructures within the Directorate-General for Research and Innovation at the French Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Space since 2023. She previously spent 27 years at the French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission (CEA), where she held key scientific and management positions in areas of high strategic and societal value, for both civilian and defence applications.
With dual expertise in numerical modelling and instrumentation, she has alternated between operational assignments and senior management roles, from research labs to executive leadership. She notably contributed to the “Simulation” programme of the CEA’s Military Applications Directorate, including a five-year mission in the United Kingdom under the Lancaster House Treaty on Franco-British defence and security cooperation.
Among her responsibilities, she has led European affairs for the CEA’s Technological Research Division and chaired the High Level Forum, an international network fostering strategic collaboration and partnerships among innovation ecosystems.
Throughout her career, she has gained an in-depth understanding of the French research and innovation landscape, its links to European programmes, and the dynamics between research and industry. Karen Amram-Prévot holds a PhD in Fluid Mechanics from École Polytechnique (l’X) and degrees in Physics and Numerical Analysis from Aix-Marseille University.
“I am deeply honoured and highly motivated to join Minalogic, with its diverse community of stakeholders, a strong board, and a talented team capable of tackling major challenges. In today’s economic environment, we must leverage national and European momentum to further strengthen Minalogic’s impact and support our industrial and strategic autonomy. Now more than ever, it is essential that everyone feels part of the story we continue to build for our members, carrying forward the success of France’s and the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region’s innovation policies,” said Karen Amram-Prévot, future CEO of Minalogic.
Between continuity and transformation: a new drive for technological sovereignty and European cooperation
This appointment comes at a time of strong mobilisation by Minalogic around reindustrialisation, technological sovereignty, and ecological transition — the three pillars of its 2023-2026 strategic plan.
In recent years, Minalogic has strengthened its regional and national footprint while expanding its European and international presence. The cluster has deepened its trusted relationships with public authorities and played an active role in major European initiatives such as Horizon Europe, the Chips Act, and various inter-cluster partnerships, contributing to the recognition of the regional digital sector as a key player on the European stage.
“We are delighted to welcome Karen Amram-Prévot as CEO of Minalogic. Her expertise and experience will be invaluable in pursuing our mission and reaffirming the strategic role of competitiveness clusters. These dynamic and agile organisations are essential levers for national and regional innovation policies and have consistently risen to the challenges set by public authorities,” said Serge Veyres, President of Minalogic.
“Under the leadership of Erasmia Dupenloup in recent years, Minalogic has strengthened its position as a trusted partner linking research, industry, and public institutions. Our priority has been to promote the wider uptake of digital technologies in both civilian and defence applications — serving strategic and societal objectives alike — thereby creating value, enhancing sovereignty, and supporting economic growth across our region.
Building on the work initiated by Erasmia Dupenloup and her predecessors, Karen Amram-Prévot will be tasked with accelerating support for the region’s innovators and boosting the competitiveness and international reach of our digital ecosystem,” he added.
