ECM Greentech Engineering

About

ECM is a French group with several subsidiaries specialized in the development and design of industrial furnaces. The Grenoble site (46 rue Jean Vaujany – Technisud) is also the group’s headquarters.

ECM created the subsidiary ECM Greentech in 2013, specializing in the production of photovoltaic silicon and crystalline growth. In 2016, the ECM group, through its renewable energies subsidiary ECM Greentech, took over the Montpellier-based SEMCO group, which specializes in tube furnaces used for converting silicon wafers into photovoltaic cells using deposition and diffusion processes. By integrating SEMCO, ECM Greentech become the French leader and a global player in photovoltaic equipment. In 2022, ECM Group further strengthened its position in the solar industry by acquiring a 20% stake in the French start-up Carbon, which aims to deploy a vertically integrated gigafactory for solar panels (commercialization of wafers, solar cells, and modules).

The ECM Group has made innovation one of its cornerstones in developing high value-added equipment for its customers. The value delivered by the Group to its partners is not simply limited to its equiment, which is also accompanied by very high value-added engineering and services on processes, equiment integration, carbon footprint reduction, predictive maintenance, and continuous improvement...

To reinforce this dimension, the Group has launched the ECM Greentech Engineering entity, the aim of which is to provide high value-added R&D services alongside the capital goods developped.
