MinaSmart at midpoint: supporting SMEs in their digital transformation

A progress update on Minalogic’s contribution to the European MinaSmart project.

Launched in 2023, , MinaSmart facilitates the digital transformation of SMEs in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. Co-funded by the European Union, the initiative offers a comprehensive service portfolio that addresses a wide range of needs—from awareness and technology adoption to skills development and access to funding.

At the halfway point of this three-year project, MinaSmart, the European Digital Innovation Hub (EDIH) for the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, shows highly promising results—particularly for Minalogic, which coordinates the 13-member consortium and leads project governance, coordination, and implementation.

Minalogic’s Key Role in the Project

Minalogic oversees overall coordination, facilitates collaboration among partners, and ensures the smooth execution of project activities. Its strategic position at the heart of the regional innovation ecosystem enables, with the contribution of all MinaSmart partners, to:

  • Identify SMEs’ needs and tailor services accordingly
  • Mobilize stakeholders across strategic regional sectors
  • Promote regional expertise in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and high-performance computing (HPC)

Concrete, Accessible Services

Since the project’s launch, Minalogic has actively contributed to the rollout of MinaSmart services, including:

  • Smart Awareness: Over 10 awareness webinars on AI and cybersecurity, engaging several hundred participants
  • Smart Diag: 17 cybersecurity diagnostics carried out for regional SMEs—a new service introduced through MinaSmart
  • Smart Techno Transfer: 6 SMEs received support for AI, cybersecurity or HPC projects
  • Smart Proposal: 45 innovation project proposals supported—up from 18 before MinaSmart
  • Smart Funding: 12 SMEs guided in securing public and private funding

These results illustrate the project’s positive impact on strengthening Minalogic’s service offering and boosting SMEs’ capabilities.

Recognition from the European Commission

The European Commission’s midterm evaluation highlighted the quality of MinaSmart, praising:

  • Strong and effective project management
  • Active and expert involvement of all partners
  • A well-structured, relevant service offering

This recognition confirms the strategic value of the consortium’s work and reinforces Minalogic’s role as a key driver of regional digital transformation.

What’s Next?

The momentum continues. Over the next two years, the project aims to increase its impact, deepen collaboration between partners, and expand its reach to benefit even more SMEs.
