The Saint-Étienne University Hospital (CHU) is located at the heart of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, the second largest region in France. It serves as the support institution of the Loire Hospital Group (GHT Loire), one of the largest GHTs in France in terms of the number of facilities. The CHU contributes to healthcare across its territory with a budget exceeding 902 million euros. It ranks 20th among the 32 university hospitals (CHUs) in France. Its activities are organized into 11 divisions and 78 clinical departments, comprising a total capacity of 1,901 beds and places across its three main sites.
