Elecsyor
About
ELECSYOR aims to develop, manufacture, and commercialize a new technology of linear electrostatic motors, either flexible or rigid, notably in the form of modular fibers, intended to be integrated into mobile devices. The envisioned applications include wearable robotics, textile exoskeletons, prostheses and medical rehabilitation devices, as well as haptic interfaces and smart textiles. The product developed by Elecsyor is a linear electrostatic motor in a fiber format. Each fiber, with a diameter of less than three millimeters and currently reaching several tens of centimeters in length, acts as a contractile unit capable of generating linear displacement through electrostatic forces. Several fibers can be assembled into bundles to form artificial muscle modules, which makes it possible to adjust force and precision depending on the number of integrated fibers. Electrostatic fibrillar technology is distinguished by its lightness and its compatibility with human interaction. Its softness and conformability allow direct integration into textiles or wearable structures, without the risk of injury associated with rigid components or uncontrolled movements.
