About
Laclarée develops adaptive eyeglasses for presbyopia correction, enabling to retrieve the autofocusing function that is lost with the ageing of the eye. Laclarée's patented technology is based on optofluidics: a liquid lens is inserted inside a regular ophthalmic lens and driven by an electrostatic actuation device located in the eyeglasses temple. Automatic control is done thanks to distance sensing and the miniature battery is charged during the night. Laclarée targets all presbyopes who are looking for an enhanced vision comfort and experience difficulties with current corrective solutions, in particular with progressive lenses.
