Companies from Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes well-represented at CES 2018

Cluster activites

With an impressive 42 startups on board, the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region is sending France’s second-largest delegation to CES in Las Vegas, the world’s premier consumer electronics trade event.

The Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region—Europe’s version of Silicon Valley—is proud to support the 42 startups that will showcase their innovative products at CES 2018. The region is number-one in France for manufacturing and number-two for jobs in the digital industry.

A total of thirteen CES Innovation Awards were given to nine companies from the region, including Lancey Energy  Storage, which won a Best of Innovation award.

An exhibit space dedicated to the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region’s digital ecosystem

For the first time ever at CES, the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region will host a dedicated exhibit space for the delegation’s startups. The exhibit space will promote the region’s diverse digital ecosystem and its capacity for technological innovation. The area will also be highly visible and will offer reception and display areas where exhibiting companies can meet with qualified international contacts and generate solid business leads.

An original new partnership with two of the region’s business schools

The exhibiting startups will also receive special support from a group of 40 students from two of the region’s business schools: Grenoble Ecole de Management, which specializes in tech and innovation management and entrepreneurship, and EM Lyon, known for its excellence in research and groundbreaking academic programs. The student coaches will provide personalized assistance before, during, and after the event, helping the participating companies effectively promote their know-how and maximize the returns on their investments.
