New Silicon Europe chair visits Grenoble

Minalogic is partnering with the Greater Grenoble Intermunicipal Authority and economic development agency Invest in Grenoble Alps to host a delegation organized by our Austria-based partner Silicon Alps. This 130-member cluster is the new Chair of microelectronics industry alliance Silicon Europe.

The purpose of the trip is to give the members of the delegation an opportunity to get to know Grenoble’s microelectronics ecosystem and to identify leads for potential partnerships and business opportunities among the area’s industrial companies, research organizations, and academic labs.

The following participants will be visiting Grenoble:

  • Four  members of Silicon Alps
  • Representatives of the Styria region’s two largest microelectronics research centers, Joanneum Research and Silicon Austria Labs, which has set the objective of becoming Austria’s leading center for research in microelectronics
  • A representative of Material Center Leoben, a leader in materials science
  • A representative of Infineon (Funding Manager, R&D Projects)
  • Representatives of the region’s economic development agencies

The delegation will be offered several site tours (CEA, STMicroelectronics, Schneider Electric, Linksium, Soitec).

A networking event with interested Minalogic members will take place on the evening of Tuesday, February 5.

The visit will provide an opportunity to boost collaboration between the two ecosystems in the run-up to the HMI Infineon Day organized by Silicon Alps for Infineon on March 27 in Graz.
