Challenges

The FluMin3 project aims to develop a new generation of miniaturized, automated, single-dose drug injection systems for intradermal, subcutaneous, and intramuscular injections.

Objectives

Under the FluMin3 project, researchers will develop: - A microelectromechanical system (MEMS) comprised of a high-performance micropump and sensors, and which can operate independently for long periods of time; - A wafer-level integration method for the MEMS; - An uncoupled micro-actuator to operate the needle and perforation device; - A mechatronic integration and assembly method for the system components, designed for the system's complex design and miniature size.
