Drone Collision avoidance with TeraRanger Tower
Recently Terabee demonstrated that, for the first time, a static LiDAR device can provide drone collision avoidance against a wall!
In our short video demonstration you can see how TeraRanger Tower, monitoring just 8 points at very high frequency, enables the drone to fly towards the wall at full speed but automatically avoid a collision! And thanks to the open source community this is plug and play from APM 3.5 onwards and works with other Pixhawk-compatible flight controllers.
