In&motion launches the AirbagRevolution Campaign and enlists 500 bikers across Europe

How about getting involved in the development of a central product dedicated to your safety? How about sharing your opinion on a product with a brand and seeing your ideas come true?

From MotoGP to the street : a technology adapted to any types of bikers

Following the announce of its presence in MotoGP and FSBK with the equipment of pilots such as Bradley Smith or Gregory Leblanc, In&motion launches its new campaign: AirbagRevolution.
Our goal: to make the smart airbag technology accessible to all.

For more than 5 years, In&motion teams have been developing and improving their autonomous airbag technology. From ski racers to MotoGP riders, uses are different but the method still the same.
At the beginning of any conception, the In&motion team combines the understanding of traumatology and the user experience to elaborate a precise specification in order to reduce the targeted injuries.

The technical solution is based on 2 key elements: the detection part that lies on the analysis of the movement on real time thanks to embedded sensors and the protective part embodied by the airbag inflation.

With its AirbagRevolution campaign, In&motion tends to use its expertise to propose an airbag system that answers the bikers’ different needs.

An innovation either on the product and on the way of building it

Rémi Thomas, CEO, says: “Thanks to the experience acquired over the last years, we’ve already developed an alpha version of the airbag for motorcycles users. In the meantime, we’ve been working with several experts in order to endorse the proposed solution.
However, as for our previous projects, we really want to integrate ideas, comments or suggestions from our future users. The goal is to offer a product conceived for and by bikers. How? By leading a revolution, 500 selected riders will be involved and will take part in this adventure

The launch of the AirbagRevolition campaign took place on October 5th 2016 during the Intermot fair in Cologne (Germany). All levels of motorcycle skills, types of motorcycles and countries can join the Airbag Revolution! The In&motion airbag is a vest you can wear under any type of jacket. It’s a totally autonomous system (no cable nor sensor on the motorbike needed) and a certified back protector is integrated.
The idea is clear: take your pen and take part in the building of your future protection.

The AirbagRevolution will take place in 3 steps:

  • 103 days to join, from now until January 16th. The registration can be done on the website www.airbagrevolution.com or during the Intermot, Eicma or CES fair;
  • 500 selected first users will receive their airbag for free on spring 2017;
  • 180 days to use the system and give us comments and feedbacks

Our secret goal : having the 500 First to cover more than one million kilometres. One million kilometres to take into account their feedbacks and improve the final product according to the different types of use.

How to get involved ? Check the website www.airbagrevolution.com and fill-out the form. The In&motion team can’t wait to meet you and tell you more!
